Daniel Wysocki, LL.B., J.D.


Daniel Wysocki began his legal studies at Collège Ahuntsic where he obtained a diploma of collegial studies in paralegal technology in 2008. He then went on to pursue his studies in law at Université de Sherbrooke in 2011. Also, during his university studies, Me Wysocki received an admission scholarship for the graduate program in common law and trans-border law (Juris Doctor) of Université de Sherbrooke, a program that he also successfully completed in 2011.

Daniel Wysocki went on to complete the Bar’s professional internship in 2012 and began his professional career with a Montreal-based firm where he focused solely on defending his clients’ interests with public bodies.

Me Wysocki joined Bernier Fournier’s team in January 2014 and was appointed to the position of associate lawyer in June 2016. He focuses his practice on labour and employment law, specifically with respect to occupational health and safety, civil litigation and representations before various administrative tribunals.

With respect to labour, employment and occupational health and safety law, Daniel Wysocki has represented many employers in matters of collective bargaining and complaints for dismissal without just and sufficient cause or prohibited practices during proceedings initiated by employees to claim amounts due or in the wake of individual or collective dismissals. Me Wysocki is regularly called upon to defend employers’ interests before the Tribunal administratif du travail (TAT) in matters involving labour relations, work-related injuries or grievances in arbitration cases. His services are also solicited on an advisory basis, with the view of preventing legal disputes. He thereby enables employers to make more informed decisions regarding their rights, in relation to both individual and collective labour relations.

Daniel Wysocki also practises civil law and has pleaded many cases before the Court of Quebec and the Superior Court, involving matters of civil liability for personal injuries, hidden defects, contract terminations, disability insurance and salary insurance benefits.

Finally, Me Wysocki possesses vast experience in administrative law and has helped a great number of litigants before the Société de l’assurance automobile du Québec (SAAQ), the Commission des normes, de l’équité, de la santé et de la sécurité du travail (CNESST), the Indemnisation des victimes d’actes criminels (IVAC) as well as Retraite Québec (RQ).

Me Wysocki got involved with Parrainage Civique Drummond, an organization whose mission is to promote the valorization, integration and social participation of people living with an intellectual disability. After having sat on the organization’s board of directors for more than two years, he was elected as vice-president of the board of directors on June 8, 2016, and finally president of the board of directors on June 19, 2019, a position he held until September 2020.

In August 2017, Me Wysocki joined the SPIN 8 organization as a member of its organizing committee. Through its annual spinning activity, the organization collects some $15,000 which it in turn donates to a non-profit institution in the Drummondville region.

Since May 2018, Me Wysocki sits on the board of directors of the Chambre de commerce et d’industrie de Drummond, which defends the collective interests of the City of Drummondville and the RCM of Drummond and contributes to improving the region’s economic growth and quality of life.

Also since May 2018, Me Wysocki chairs the Cégep de Drummondville’s research ethics committee, an independent committee that evaluates the ethical compliance of research projects involving the participation of individuals.
