Catherine Fournier, LL.B.

Senior Partner

Catherine Fournier is a member of the Quebec Bar Association since 1998. She studied law at Université de Sherbrooke and was awarded her degree in 1996.

At the onset of her career, Me Fournier joined forces with Serge Bernier and they founded their own firm. She thus gained a wealth of experience in several fields of law, including family, civil and criminal law.

Among her meaningful and highly instructive experiences during this period, Catherine Fournier served as a prosecutor in several jury trials held in Quebec City, St-Hyacinthe and Montreal. She has practised criminal and penal law as both a federal prosecutor and defence lawyer in different trials.

Today, the expansion of Bernier Fournier has led her to specialize her practice in family law. Over the course of the last years, she chose to get involved in her profession by sitting on different committees of the Quebec Bar Association and was appointed leader of the Arthabaska bar section.

Today, Catherine Fournier practises almost exclusively family law and her vast experience enables her to effectively defend her clients in all regards and find ingenious solutions that will be adapted to their individual needs and situations.
